Meet My Favorite T-Shirt

I can't believe it's been almost three months and you have yet to feast your peeps on my favorite t-shirt!

Well...prepare yourself because you're about to see it!

There she is...my favorite t-shirt. It's a Bob Marley T that is soooooo old, obviously, poor Bob's face has even faded! I'm sure there is an age at which one is too old to donne band/concert/Bob Marley T's. Equally, I'm sure, I have surpassed that age. But do I look like I care?

...Nope, not a bit! Bob Marley makes me happy, and this is one of the most comfortable thing I own! Since today my old body decided to flare up and cause me significant pain, comfort was important! Have I mentioned that I have psoriatic arthritis? I'm not saying this to complain...I refuse to complain, but it's an autoimmune disorder. My body attacks my skin, my joints, even my eyes, heart and lungs. I have almost constant joint pain in some places, but when I have a flare it's excruciating and exhausting. Honestly, I'm not complaining....it's just life, and I've been fortunate, it's been forever since I had a significant flare up. So, maybe I'm too old (and decrepid apparently), but Bob T makes me happy, comfy and relaxed, and paired with this jersey maxi skirt it's like wearing pajamas all day!

And, just look at how happy it makes me to wear something like pajamas all day!

Pastel and Neutral

Well, my little monkey, Ashton decided to join me for pics today...she's so cute! While Ashton is decked out in blue, I have worn too much cerulean lately and decided to go with some pastel pink...and I added my little sweater vest that I've been dying to wear...come fall it will be paired with button downs, blazers and boots...yippeeee!

Beautiful day!

Today it was finally NOT unbearably hot and muggy! There was a cool breeze, sunny skies and warm weather, it was a beautiful day...until I was sitting on a wall outside of the building I was training at, talking to participants when the wind blew and my skirt went up! Ummmmm, yup, they definitely saw my underwear! I love this skirt, especially paired with a relaxed tee...but I won't be wearing it again on a windy day!

Playing the Accordion (pleats that is)

My current love is with accordian pleats, short, midi or maxi it doesn't matter,I'm just in love!

Today I'm wearing my thrifted black accordion skirt. For some reason, our local thrift store has multiple accordion skirts and dresses, I had to sort through before deciding exactly which one to take home! Also, I'm fibbing a little...I WAS wearing this BEFORE I decided I needed to scrub my house. Accordion pleats are versatile and comfy, but probably not the best choice for heavy duty cleaning! So, NOW I'm wearing shorts and a Tee, but we'll pretend I still look like this. deal? K, good!

...It is so hot and sticky!!!! yuck, yuck, yuck!

Getting dressed is such a difficult proposition when the heat index is like 105! Even worse, I realized this morning that as I would be going both in and outdoors, I'd have to struggle though this heat and humidity and then into buildings with sub-zero air conditioning! I couldn't fathom bringing a cardigan along to shield me from the arctic temperatures indoors, so my solution? I wore a scarf. More than just a pretty accessory, my scarves also become "woobies" when it's chilly. So yes, during a meeting I had to wrap my scarf around me to shield myself from the cold. Now that's fashion function!

Since deciding to jump into Bloggers Do it Better, I have been planning my maxi skirt styling in my minds eye. In my imagination...it was stunning, even in the mirror, I thought "oh yeah," and this evening when I loaded the pictures I discovered my plan had not worked out so well. So, not to be thwarted, I grabbed my son and ordered that he take some pictures! I stripped off the sweater I had worn with the maxi skirt all day and just went with the tank I was wearing underneath and added a belt. Well, I just loaded those pictures...and there are no winners there either! So, I'm going to go ahead and show them to you, knowing none of it worked out as planned! But hey, I said I'm fabulous, not perfect!

 I had truly convinced myself that I could totally pull off a big sweater with a maxi skirt...but I'm no Olsen twin. Since I couldn't pull off fabulous today...here's some fabulous Ashton to make up for it!

Head to Toe

 Today I wore head to toe black. Black isn't just for funeral's, nor should anyone feel like it is their only uniform for a slimming effect! Truly, any monochromatic scheme lengthens the body...don't wear black because you think you have to...wear it because you want to do so fabulously!

 I was in Pittsburgh again all day to day for training, and once again dressed not only for "fabulosity" but also for comfort! I was comfortable sitting in the car, sitting in the training and moving around the room during our group presentations. Speaking of which, there is nothing more fun than asking a room full of adult "professionals" to name all the female body parts! Talk about to head to toe! I truly have the best jobs ever!
